RUMBLEFISH

RUMBLEFISH UNDERWATER HOCKEY

Underwater hockey (UWH) is for anyone interested in finding an unique sport for fitness, competition and fun. UWH is a fast paced game played with a mask, fins, snorkel and a stick to pass the 3 lb puck around the bottom of the pool. Below is a short (1:43min) promo link that does a better job explaining than words can.

As a fully inclusive community program, we don’t hold try-outs and we continue to recruit members throughout the year. We welcome anyone 16 and older and practices are generally split groups up by age (U19, U23 & adult), skill (Beginner, Recreational, Elite) and gender. The reality is that we mostly mix everyone in for practices/scrimmages and generally games are split by skill levels.

It is a great sport for fitness, conditioning and low impact cardio workouts. The sport is fairly technical and challenging to learn but we offer all the support and instruction needed as long as you are comfortable in the water. It is an 'invasion sport' so you have an advantage if you have played other invasion sports such as ice hockey, soccer, rugby, lacrosse and water polo. If you were also a swimmer, lifeguard, water polo player or even love the wave pool you may have been made for this sport.
