Unfortunately for many tournaments a player plans to attend and then, for whatever reasons is unable to make it. Without count me in cash the player who drops leaves his team mates to scramble to find another player with short notice.
Count me in cash is your deposit towards the tournament but in the event you are unable to make it can be used to offer a discount to a replacement player (who usually needs some incentive or they would have signed up originally).
