Recruiting the best and then playing against the rest?
That’s not ambition, that’s just a shortcut to mediocrity.

Building a competitive club team is probably a 3 year process that requires the consistent effort and dedication of a few key players.  The competitive players in each club will usually have limited financial and vacation day constraints. This means most players are limited to 2 or 3 travel tournaments per year. In North America the regional league does not have enough players players to fill competition teams. The result is that, as long as the regional league is recruiting players from club development programs...clubs will struggle to develop teams.
